I am pleased to announce that my new YA fiction novel, Key of the Darkhouse is now available! Key of the Darkhouse is a project near and dear to my heart. I've been working on it since my college years, and bringing it to life has been a dream come true. Read on for more details about the book.

I've been writing stories since I was a little girl, and most of them are still stashed in boxes under my bed (much to my husband's dismay). It actually took a little push from my own teenage son to make me dig out Key of the Darkhouse again. It was a story I wrote in college and kept returning to over the years. But truthfully, it needed a lot of work. But before I get to that, let me show you the beautiful cover, created by artist Duy Phan:
Once I started rereading my own written words, I knew I was finally ready to share Key (he's the main character) and his story with the world. Well, I knew I was ready to polish it all up. Shine, shine, shine until it was truly ready for reading. And I couldn't have done it without friends, family and some volunteer editors (I am so grateful to them!).
I decided to create my own publishing house to get this story going (and there are more books to come- I need to rescue them from under my bed!), so Jersey Momma Media, my publishing house, was born. Jersey Momma Media is a spin-off of The Jersey Momma, and you will find a link to it here in tabs on my homepage. It does have its own address (JerseyMommaMedia.com), where I can share all of my book updates with you.
Key of the Darkhouse is geared for 13 and up, but I think adults will enjoy it, too. You can order it through Amazon here, Barnes and Noble here, or order personally autographed copies through my Etsy Book Shop here.
*A note about the plot for parents: there is no bad language in the book and no sexual situations. There is reference to alcoholism, and the plot itself deals with a teenager who is physically abused by his father. But the book is also about recognizing this abuse and learning to overcome it.
I hope you'll continue to check back with The Jersey Momma and Jersey Momma Media for updates. If you haven't signed up for my email newsletter, please do so (you can find it in the sidebar).
And if you read the story and enjoy it, I hope you'll consider leaving me a review on Amazon, Barnes and Noble or Good Reads.
Here's to making our dreams come true in 2025!
