On Tuesday, March 21st, Stop & Shop and FAO Schwarz celebrated 9-year-old Freja and 7-year-old Madison, patients at MSK Kids, Memorial Sloan Kettering’s pediatric oncology program. Both girls are ambassadors for the supermarket’s 22nd annual Help Cure Childhood Cancer Campaign.

Ambassadors Freja and Madison embarked on an exclusive tour of FAO Schwarz at Rockefeller Plaza  led by an iconic FAO Toy Soldier, and participated in one-of-a-kind immersive experiences within the store. Dr. Paul Meyers, Attending Pediatrician at Memorial Sloan Kettering, representatives from Stop & Shop, as well as Madison's and Freja's families were all on-hand for the event.

Madison, from Cortlandt Manor, New York, participated in a Barbie Styled by You experience, and Freja, from Fair Haven, New Jersey took part in the FAO Schwarz Baby Doll Adoption exhibit. Additionally, both girls assisted the Toy Soldier with the FAO Schwarz opening ceremony at 10am that morning.

    1. Oh wow, THANK YOU! Not just for reading and commenting, but for what you do, too! My nephew passed away from cancer (just shy of his 4th birthday), so this is a cause near and dear to my heart. If there is ever anything I can do to help your organization, please reach out!
