The Toy Insider's Sweet Suite 2023 is happening TODAY in New York City! Why not take a walk down memory lane and check out my favorite finds from 2022's Sweet Suite? Stay tuned for my round-up of this year's show, coming soon!
If you follow my social channels you've probably seen me posting about Sweet Suite 22, the hottest toy show of the summer from The Toy Insider! This invite-only event took place in July at beautiful Pier 60 in New York City. There were tables and tables of famous toy companies (and smaller brands, too), featuring toys, collectibles, plushies, and so much more. I love sharing this day with you because I know you can bookmark all of these fun ideas for future birthdays, holidays and special gifts. And if you're a 'Kidult' like me, you can find a few things for yourself, too! Read on for my favorite picks!

I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. I promise you I wouldn't feature items in this post if I didn't totally love them myself! So rest assured, these items all have The Jersey Momma stamp of approval. Also, I am an Amazon affiliate but I would like to support local businesses, too. If you can find these items in a local toy shop instead, head on over there!
Hats off to the entire crew at The Toy Insider for pulling off this amazing event. It wasn't just the toys, the drinks, the amazing food, the desserts, and the waterfront location- oh, no, it was actually more than that. Bringing back a "long lost" in-person event since the pandemic was no easy task. Being able to see/meet/hug/laugh with friends we have not physically seen in years was priceless. The toys were a huge added bonus. But enough of my emotional reminiscing... let's get to the toys! What did I love? Well, here is a BIG list of my favorites. I can assure you that all of these delighted me in one way or another. I promise you that I'm not an influencer who was given toys for free to promote. These are legitimately items that I adored and I know you will, too.
1. LOL Mini Sweets
I know LOL Dolls have always been popular, but MGA's new line of LOL Mini Sweets really stole my heart. Each blind ball of LOL Mini Sweets contains a candy-themed doll like Hershey Kisses, Jolly Rancher, Smarties, PEZ, and more. The newest series will feature Hershey bar, Milk Duds and Twizzlers themed dolls, too. Available now at Walmart, Target and Amazon if you can find 'em! Also on the LOL website here.
2. Kingdomania by Funko Games
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of anything Funko, especially Funko Games. Funko Games are beautifully crafted and usually appeal to kids, adults and collectors of all ages. Kingdomania will really hit home with Disney fans, since it features many of our favorite Disney and Pixar characters in cute "pixel" form. The game is expandable and you can continuously add on to it. But what I loved most of all? It's for 1-3 players. Parents of the 'only child' rejoice! There's finally a game crafted just for you. Coming this Fall!
3. Hello Kitty & Friends Purse Pets
Purse Pets were a big hit last year and kids loved their moving eyes and cute style choices. This season they've added a Hello Kitty & Friends line, so now you can choose from Hello Kitty, My Melody or Chococat Purse Pets. They each have over 30 movements and sounds, and feature a soft plush exterior. Needless to say, I'm in love! Available Fall, 2022.
4. Squishmallows and Squishville
OF COURSE Squishmallows was a hit at Sweet Suite! They're a hit everywhere! This year Jazwares is introducing a Cam the Cat costume for kids (available at Kroger) and an adorable plush trick-or-treat bag. Coming soon, too, are the Nightmare Before Christmas gang (Jack, Sally and Oogie Boogie), as well as Fuzzamallows, which are a fluffy version of our squishy friends. I also loved the new additions to the Squishville line, and all of their cute and fruity plush vehicles.
5. Sugar Buzz Minis-in-Minis
Super Impulse rocks! Whether it's their fully functional miniature games (like Blockus, Pictionary, Chutes and Ladders, etc), their Micro Toy Boxes, or their Pop Culture-inspired micro minis (Garbage Pail Kids, Hello Kitty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc), you truly can't help but be amazed by them. But I particularly loved their Sugar Buzz Minis-in-Minis, coming soon. Each box featured another miniature replica box inside of it of favorite candies, like Sweethearts or Smarties. I loved that they're 'sort of' blind boxes- meaning, there is a little window you can peek in and see which candy you might be getting. Anyone who purchases blind boxes knows the frustration of buying one and opening it to find that you already have the one that's inside (doubles can be such a bummer!!).
6. Fidgie Friends and HoneyBee Acres (Rainbow Ridge)
Fidgets are still a big trend in the toy industry, so it was fun to see them incorporated into dolls. Fidgie Friends from Sunny Days Entertainment features dolls with 'fidget parts' like poppable wings and squishy skirts. The parts are removable, too, so you can take the fidget with you and leave your doll at home if you like! Series 1 will be available exclusively at Walmart this August. The Honeybee Acres gang has some new unicorn friends who live just down the block, in Rainbow Ridge, of course! They're coming soon to the Honeybee Acres universe, so be on the lookout for them.
7. Squishmallows Line from Big Mouth Inc.
Even if you're not a Squishmallows fan, you can't help but love this line from Big Mouth, Inc! Inner tubes, beach balls, sprinklers, and snow tubes featuring favorite Squishmallows characters. Also exciting to see was their Squishmallows cooler bag and their Inflat-a-Pals, which were like giant plush rugs. So soft and comfy!! The Inflat-a-Pals even come with their own mini pump for easy inflation. Available through the Big Mouth Inc. website.
8. Schwinn Krate EVO Bikes
I was able to try out Schwinn's e-bikes at my recent Western Weekend Getaway in Arizona and they were incredible. But I also love their retro-inspired Krate EVO bikes for kids. The Tornado Krate Evo has a fully functional suspension fork, reimagined racing bucket-style saddle, and authentic Slik rear tire that put a fresh twist on that classic 70’s Krate look. The Krate EVO Classic bikes have an iconic look to them, with classic 'banana' style seats. I got a little teary-eyed looking at them. Do you remember your childhood bike? These will certainly bring back memories.
9. Disney Mirrorverse and Black Adam Figures from McFarlane Toys
McFarlane Toys is known for their amazing action figures and collectible figurines, and they have a new Black Adam line to accompany the upcoming DC movie starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. I also thought their Disney Mirrorverse figures were stunning. Even if you don't play the mobile app game, the characters still have a Disney collectible appeal and I thought they were beautiful.
10. Disney Doorables Let's Go Vehicles
Just Play's Disney Doorables now have their own vehicles and each Let's Go pack features two collectible characters and vehicles. Series 1 contains 15 different figurines with vehicles inspired by the stories of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh, Alice in Wonderland, Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Lilo & Stitch, The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, Peter Pan, Frozen, and Disney Pixar’s Toy Story. Coming this Fall. See them here.
11. Big Fat Yarn Kit from Jazwares
Get ready for a cozy winter with Big Fat Yarn Kits from Jazwares! These giant plush strands of yarn come in a fun kit to help kids learn to knit simple items. Ages 6 and up, available at Walmart, Target and Amazon this Fall.
