Raise your hand if you've got aches and pains! Honestly, you should all have your hands up. Even my teenager has his fair share of achey joints. I mean, how many times have you said, "I did something to my neck?" or "My shoulder/knee/wrist/insert body part here has been acting up again." And if you're anything like me you may have tried some of the traditional creams or rubs on the market (some smell bad, some are greasy, some don't work). Well, thanks to Moms Meet and ProHEMP, I finally can recommend a pain relief cream to you that really works (I sound like a TV commercial, but it's true). Read on and I'll tell you my honest thoughts, as well as the Pros and Cons. Oh, and there's even a promo code if you want to order some for yourself.
Disclosure: I received this product for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com) to use and post my honest opinions. This post may contain affiliate links. But like I always say, I would never recommend something to you unless I totally loved it myself.
About ProHEMP
According to their website, ProHEMP offers "high-quality, 100% pure, natural hemp products for a "healthier, happier life." Their products are organic, cruelty-free and thoroughly tested. ProHEMP manufactures all of their own products and sources ingredients from farm to shelf." If you're confused about what hemp is or how it is beneficial for us, check out their FAQ page for some quick explanations. ProHEMP offers a variety of products on their site besides pain relief cream. You can also find hemp extracts, adaptogenics (for pets, too!), edibles like calming gummies and honey sticks, supplements, and more.
ProHEMP Pain Relief Cream
I was able to sample the 2oz size of ProHEMP's 1000mg Pain Relief Menthol Hemp Rub. Truth be told, I was skeptical that it would do anything. I had foot surgery last year for a torn ligament, and although it's so much better now, I still get some aches in my feet as well as aches in my knees (that could be the onset of arthritis, but I haven't checked with my doctor to be sure yet). I am an avid VR gamer (especially Beat Saber) so I often get sore arms/shoulders post-workout (YES VR is a workout!! Have you tried it?? You can read about my love of VR gaming here). It has a strong minty/menthol scent (which I actually kind of liked), and I would use the cream in the evening before bed.
I mostly used ProHEMP on my knee after workouts because that has been my biggest problem area. Almost immediately after using I noticed a warming/cooling sensation that was instantly soothing. I was worried at first that it would be greasy but it left no residue. I found the minty smell to be really pleasant and I even turned to my husband and said, "this stuff really works!" So, of course, he wanted to try it out on his tennis elbow. My husband can be pretty picky but the next day he told me his elbow felt better and I said, "Do you feel like that cream worked?" And he replied, "Yes, it really did."
Pros and Cons
For quick reference, here are some Pros and Cons from my personal experience using ProHEMP Pain Relief Cream. And keep in mind that I have tried many other pain relief creams, especially some of the most common/popular on the market.
Pros:
-not greasy, no residue
-pleasant smell (it's minty, from the menthol)
-instant soothing sensation (kind of an icy/warm tingly combo)
-not sticky after use
-I know this can't really be proven, but I swear that my aches and pains actually feel better the next day after using this. I know the product is not guaranteed for long-term relief, but compared to other products I have used I found that I felt better longer with ProHEMP.
-a little goes a long way- you really only need a small squirt of it to feel relief
-natural ingredients, hemp-based
-family owned company
-cruelty-free, vegan, organic, farm to shelf ingredients
Cons:
-price (although I must say, the price is competitive with some of the higher-end pain relief on the market. I'm not going to name names, but I've tried a few others that were within the same price range and were supposed to have been among the best. They did nothing for me! ProHEMP worked the best for me)
-currently only available on the ProHEMP site, which isn't really a con, but does make it a little less convenient. You just have to remember to order ahead of time if you're running out.
-smell (I liked the smell but if you find menthol/minty scent offensive, this might bother you).
So, you can see that that the Pros outweigh the Cons, in my opinion. I will most likely continue to purchase ProHEMP on my own for future use. That alone should tell you that I like it!
