The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum is celebrating Fleet Week at Pier 86 in New York City, which includes fun activities for all ages! This is a special time for the museum as they honor our nation's armed forces. Read on for a peek at the scheduled events!

The Intrepid Museum will celebrate the 34th annual Fleet Week, May 25–May 30, with a week of activities and events that celebrate the armed forces. Fleet Week is America’s premier tribute and “thank you” to the men and women who serve in the armed forces. Activities will take place at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and on Pier 86 (46 Street and 12 Avenue, Manhattan). All events on Pier 86 are free and open to the public.

Wednesday, May 25th
Approx. 7:30am-8:00am: Fleet Week will kick off with the arrival of Naval and Coast Guard ships in New York City as they travel up the Hudson River and pass by the Intrepid Museum. Sailing past Intrepid’s Pier 86 in order will be the USACE HAYWARD, NYPD Fireboat, USS MILWAUKEE(LCS), USS BATAAN(LHD), USCGC SYCAMORE(WLB), HMS PROTECTOR(A173), USCGC DEPENDABLE(WMEC), USNA YPs, and USNA Sail Boats.
Museum is open from 10:00am-5:00pm.
Thursday, May 26th
10:00am-3:00pm: USNA YPs, docked at Pier 86, will be open for public tours.

Friday, May 27th
5:00pm-9:00pm: The Intrepid Museum is once again extending its hours free of charge from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Visitors can explore the Museum and enjoy a screening of Crimson Tide on the flight deck. Movie will begin at sunset. Doors open at 5:00pm and close at 8:30pm (entry is not guaranteed and is subject to capacity; doors may close earlier). Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited.
Museum is open from 10:00am–9:00pm.
Saturday, May 28th and Sunday, May 29th
10:00am-6:00pm: Explore free hands-on activities and interactive displays from the U.S. Marines, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary/Civil Air Patrol, USO, Claymore Vets, American Legion, American Red Cross, LEGOLAND (Sunday) and more! Visitors can also enjoy workshops and activities from the Intrepid Museum all day long and meet former Intrepid crew members.
Museum is open from 10:00am–6:00pm.
Monday, May 30th
10:00am-5:00pm: Explore free hands-on activities and interactive displays from the U.S. Marines, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force, Claymore Vets, the American Red Cross, LEGOLAND, Disney and Pixar’s Lightyear and more! Visitors can also enjoy workshops and activities from the Intrepid Museum all day long.
10:00am: Join the Intrepid Museum for a Memorial Day ceremony honoring the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who have given their lives in defense of our nation. Civic and military leaders will offer remarks and join in a special wreath laying ceremony in honor of the fallen. The ceremony concludes with veterans unfurling a 100-foot U.S. flag, the playing of Taps and a flyover by Navy fighter jets.
2:00pm: Watch the U.S. Coast Guard perform a test search and rescue demonstration.
