That being said, I also love to shop local, so if you know a small business owner who sells books or you can find these titles in a local shop, I encourage you to look there first!

House Monsters: The Birthday Party
The adorable book, The Birthday Party, featuring the furry and mischievous House Monsters, is the first story in the House Monsters series. It introduces readers to the House Monsters crew - Fluffy, Munchy, Sudsy, Dizzy, Bumpy and Drowsy, and all of their fun adventures (unbeknownst to their human family, The Johnsons). This book makes a great gift to give someone along with an actual House Monster toy, too. Recommended for ages 5 and up, hardcover, 36 pages.

Disney's The Orange Bird Little Golden Book
Orange Bird just so happens to be my favorite obscure Disney Parks character. I've loved him ever since I was a little girl. Disney Classics: The Orange Bird Little Golden Book is sort of like The Orange Bird's "origin story," and describes his life on an orange grove farm, enjoying citrus swirls and avoiding run-ins with the farm cat. This book is a must for any Orange Bird fan, too! Recommended for ages 2-5,
hardcover, 24 pages.
The Golden Girls: Goodnight Girls (Board Book)
I added this cute board book to my list in honor of the late, great Betty White and all of our beloved Golden Girls. This adorably illustrated board book is perfect for babies-3 year olds (and adults, too, let's be honest) and will definitely tug at your heartstrings as you read it. The Golden Girls: Goodnight Girls by Samantha Brooke is available for pre-order now. Recommended for babies through three years, board book, 20 pages.
My Little Golden Book About Betty White
And your kiddos can learn all about Betty White's life in the Little Golden Book dedicated specifically to her! My Little Golden Book About Betty White is a wonderful bit of nostalgia for anyone.
Escape This Book: Titanic
Author Bill Doyle has created a fun, interactive book that is great for reluctant readers. Escape This Book: Titanic (illustrated by Sarah Sax and YOU) enables readers to actually draw themselves "into and out of history." How cool is that? Kids can choose to be a passenger, crew member or stowaway and doodle their way to survival. Such a clever idea, right? Recommended for ages 8-12, hardcover, 192 pages (with plenty of illustrations and places for kids to draw themselves into the story). If you like this adventure, there are other "Escape This Book" titles to choose from, like Tombs of Egypt and Race to the Moon.
National Geographic Kids
National Geographic Kids never fail to disappoint and some of their newest titles are exciting and unique. They're perfect for science, nature and STEM fans. Each one is high quality with beautiful photos and chock full o' facts and info. Most are geared towards kids ages 8-12 but be sure to check out each individual title for age recommendations. Here are some of my favorite picks this month:
