Vitapod: One Mom's Honest Review

I am so excited to bring you a review of a revolutionary new machine called Vitapod. Thanks to Vitapod and Moms Meet, I was able to try out this high-performance drink machine with advanced filtration. It's designed to transform tap water into "nourishing wellness drinks" that are supposed to be better for you than water. And spoiler alert: this machine is my new favorite thing! What is Vitapod?

Vitapod is my new favorite thing. Oh, wait, I already told you that, didn't I? Well, here's a little blurb right from the manufacturer to tell you all about it: "Vitapod doesn’t just mix drinks. It filters water multiple times before cooling to optimal drinking temperature, blends at speeds up to 690 RPMs with specially formulated pods that deliver the essential vitamins, electrolytes and plant-antioxidants, serving it up in a delicious beverage that makes every sip complete. In short, Vitapod is a machine with a built in filtration system that filters and enhances your water with vitamins, minerals and natural flavoring. It's perfect for anyone, but especially those people looking to hydrate more, or those folks who never seem to drink enough water (so that's pretty much all of us!).

How Does Vitapod Work?

First, let me tell you that the machine is fairly quiet when it mixes a drink for you. Second, it's so easy to operate that even kids can use it (supervised, of course). Once the water tank is filled, you just pick your pod, pop it in the machine, make sure your cup/thermos is in place, and push the button. That's it! Each pod contains a mixture of vitamins and essential nutrients. The flavors are formulated for hydration and there are Hydra+ flavors for specialized vitamins (meaning, there is a flavor pod for immunity, beauty, energy, etc). The machine is easy to fill with water (it has an indicator to let you know when it needs more), and easy to clean (you just wipe it with a damp cloth).

How Does it Taste?

Delicious. And I'm pretty picky when it comes to flavored waters. My favorite flavor is the pineapple coconut, followed by iced tea. My son loves the cotton candy pods. I also have an order in for more Raspberry Hibiscus, since I drank all of the ones they gave me as samples. The Hydra + pods provide a blend of electrolytes that hydrate better than water. They also include vitamins A, C, D, E, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, and potassium plus flavonoids from decaffeinated green tea extract. Here are some of the other flavors they offer:

The Jersey Momma's Thoughts About Vitapod

I must admit I was a bit skeptical at first when I was asked to try Vitapod. I was excited, of course, but wondered if it was really as great as they claimed it was. I can honestly tell you that I love this machine and we use it all the time. My 13 year old son uses it as well as my husband, and they were not usually ones to opt for vitamin water or flavored water in the past when grabbing something to drink. It's also a fun focal point in our kitchen- guests who visit always want to try it, and everyone seems to enjoy picking out a flavor and watching the machine mix it for them. I was worried about the size of it before it arrived, but it's really no bigger than a coffee machine.

I never thought I would need or want a filtered water system on my counter top but now I can't imagine not having it. Cheers! I'll drink to that!
