Squishmallows fans, make room in your squad because Hello Kitty and Friends have arrived! You might have seen various styles of this line at local Claire's stores already, but now you'll see more of this iconic brand mash-up popping up at your favorite retailers. Read on for a sneak peek of which Sanrio squish this line will offer and what they'll look like. Oh, and most importantly, where to find them!
Disclosure: the information in this post comes from Kellytoy's press release. I was provided with samples in order to write this post and provide you with accurate squishformation (that's squishmallow information, get it?). All thoughts and opinions are my own (and I'm a HUGE Squishmallows fan so I'm about as honest as you can get). Some photos provided by Kellytoy.
Drum roll please...Kellytoy, a subsidiary of Jazwares, LLC, announced that in partnership with Sanrio®, the brand is debuting an all-new Hello Kitty® and Friends Squishmallows™ squad rolling out to retailers now, and everyone in the kawaii-loving Sanrio community is freaking out (myself included)!

Where to Buy Squishmallows
Where to buy Squishmallows Hello Kitty and Friends? That is the question. Squishmallows can be elusive (like most super stars) because everybody wants them. If you're quick, you'll be able to snatch them up at Claire’s, Hallmark, TJMaxx, Learning Express, Sav On Foods, London Drugs, Hot Topic, EB Games, Mr. Toys Toyworld, and Toymate. Five Below and Costco (U.S., Canada, Australia, UK, and France) will carry Hello Kitty collections starting in May 2021 as well as Sanrio.com.

About Squishmallows
If you haven't heard about Squishmallows, I don't know where you've been hiding. More than 80 million Squishmallows have been sold around the world, and they've developed a bit of a cult following with collectors of all ages. You'll find Facebook groups, social media accounts, and entire Tik Tok videos devoted to them. They even have their own theme song, "Hello, We're the Squishmallows." What's their appeal? It's a combo of things, in my opinion. First, they have that chonky squish shape and kawaii expression. Then there's the various sizes and colors. And don't forget the super-soft, mega-squishiness that makes them lovable and pillowy. They're comforting, stress-relieving, and pretty much addictive (some people collect only certain styles or only certain colors). Most sizes come with a cute hang tag that tells unique facts and hobbies about the Squishmallow, too, giving them each their own unique personality.
Prices of hard-to-find or retired Squishmallows can be sky-high on ebay and Mercari (and as a collector myself, I strongly discourage you from buying there). And be aware that there are cheesy imposters around, too. Don't purchase Squishmallows from a shady source, and always look for the official Kellytoy tag or label.
