Easter Basket Gift Guide
Easter baskets don't need to be overflowing with toys and goodies. Here are some combinations of different toys and treats that I have received from some of my favorite toy companies. I tried to mix and match so you could get an idea of how to set up a fun basket. Be sure to scroll down for egg filler ideas, too!
An Easter basket doesn't need to include much to be filled with fun! This basket offers up some plushie pals, a simple game, fluffy putty, some sweet treats, and a LEGO creation.
1. Foodie Surprise Yolkies - candy slime yolk and collectible egg figure inside
2. Squishmallows Clip-on Danny Dinosaur (other styles/characters available)
3. Silly Putty Cloud Putty - fluffy "putty" in various colors (doesn't dry out!)
4. World's Smallest Toys (Crocodile Dentist pictured but they have tons more!)
5. LEGO Dots bracelet kit - available at LEGO.com (other styles and colors available)
6. AuroraWorld Shoulderkins Flamingo or other animals (magnetic plush pals that can sit on your shoulder!) Also available at AuroraWorld online

This basket is perfect for game play! Jixels puzzles are a fun twist on regular puzzles, featuring interlocking plastic pieces that form colorful figures and shapes (fun for adults, too!). The World's Smallest Games (Kerplunk pictured) come in many different versions, all real working games and toys! Funkoverse is one of our new favorite strategy games. It comes in a variety of different characters that you can interchange between sets. It's kind of like a modern-day Dungeons and Dragons featuring Funko characters!

A fun basket for gamers could include a handheld game or toy, collectible figurines and a small plushie! YooHoo Sacks are fun because they fit in the palm of your hand and are almost like mini hacky sacks to play with. They can also fit inside larger Easter eggs.
1. YooHoo Sacks (lemur pictured) - also available at AuroraWorld online
2. Dragamonz Super Series - mystery egg inside with collectible Dragamonz figure

More Easter Gift Ideas
1. My Fairy Garden Nature Cottage from Playmonster - There are different sets available in the My Fairy Garden collection. The sets can even connect to one another with little bridges so you can create your own fairy village! This set, the Nature Cottage, comes with a ladybug house, plantable seeds and accessories.
2. Eden Luxe Owl - AuroraWorld's Luxe line offers owls, bunnies, pigs, chicks, sloths, and so much more. Their wispy fur make them so super cute and huggable. Check out their full line at Amazon or AuroraWorld online.
3. Blockaroos are awesome foam magnetic building blocks. Kids can build with them or experiment with how the magnets work. They can also be used in the bath tub or combined with other sets. One of my favorite things about Blockaroos is that you can wash them in the dishwasher!
1. Funkoverse Kool-Aid Man Expansion - a fun new expansion pack for Funkoverse fans
2. Stacktopus - a great family fun game, especially great when you're stuck indoors! Slip on the sea fingers and try to stack the cups (it's not as easy as it looks!).
3. Minecraft Magnetic Travel Puzzle - good for keeping kids busy and comes in a convenient case
4. BRIO Motor Builders set - encourages creativity and STEM skills with over 120 pieces (ages 3 and up)
5. Dog Crimes - an awesome single player logic game, great even for adults who love brainteasers!
Foodstirs Subscription and Baking Mixes
Another fun gift idea, especially for tweens and teens, is a subscription to Foodstirs, or some Foodstirs kits or mixes in an Easter basket. I recently received a sample mix and kit from them and I LOVED it! Foodstirs Junk-Free Bakery has a mission to bring families together to create "delicious, lasting memories through organic, ethically sourced baking mixes and treats." The kits are super cute and the mixes (we tried the organic chewy oat bar mix) are easy to make and delicious. You can read more about their monthly subscription kits here. Foodstirs was kind enough to share a promo code with us, too. Use code SWEET for 20% off your order.
Instant Egg Filler Ideas
Many of us are stuck at home and can't get to the store to buy simple items, let alone Easter egg fillers! So here are some ideas for egg fillers you can find around your own home, if you're lucky.
Where to Buy
As I stated above, I'm not advocating that you visit essential stores during a health crisis to do casual gift shopping. Let's do our part to stay home and stay out of those stores (unless we're buying essential items). Amazon is still a possibilty for purchases (although lately their shipping times are delayed and they have limited stock on items), or purchasing directly from the toy companies (as suggested in some of the links above). There are also many local New Jersey stores offering curbside pick-up and home delivery. I've listed a few of them below, so please keep them in mind of you are looking to buy Easter gifts this year! This would help our local businesses stay alive! If you like some of the items in my post, give these stores a call and see if the items are in stock.
