People often ask me about fun things to do in Hershey, PA off-season. Guess what? I absolutely LOVE visiting Hershey off-season. Sure, Hersheypark might not be open yet, but crowds are usually low, rates at the Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge and Hersheypark Camping Resort are the best ever, and there are still tons of things to do! Take Chocolate Covered February, for instance. Did you know that such a thing even existed? Chocolate Covered February is a HUGE deal in Hershey, PA! It's a great opportunity for a weekend getaway, couples retreat, Moms Weekend, or girlfriend trip. The entire month of February is filled with chocolate themed adventures! The Hotel Hershey’s talented pastry team offers guests an array of sweet treats at the Hershey’s Chocolate Dessert Buffet, Feb. 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd. Have breakfast with your favorite Hershey Characters! Fire & Grain at Hershey Lodge serves up a sweet breakfast buffet alongside a meet and greet with the Hershey Characters. Make reservations for Feb. 8th or 22nd at 717-534-8601. The Hershey Bears, ZooAmerica, Hershey Theatre, Hershey’s Chocolate World, and The Hershey Story Museum have special happenings throughout February as well. The Chocolate Dinner Extraordinaire at The Hotel Hershey is the unofficial kick-off to Chocolate-Covered February. The five-course chocolate-infused dining experience is on Jan. 31st. Be sure to make reservations online or at 717-534-8800.
Hershey Lodge presents Chocolate Martini Mixology (Feb. 1st and 15th) and Chocolate and Spirits Pairings combined with a Chef Demonstration (Feb. 8th and 22nd).

The Hotel Hershey offers Chocolate Tea and Wine & Chocolate Pairing events, Feb. 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd.

Learn about the love story between Milton and Catherine Hershey and make truffles at the adults-only Chocolate Lab “Truffles for Couples” event (Feb. 7-8, 13-15) at The Hershey Story Museum.
