If you need some fresh ideas for Easter baskets or you're just wondering what the Easter Bunny should bring this year, look no further! My Easter Basket Gift Guide is chock full o' fun ideas! Plus, I included handy dandy photos with number keys to help you identify each item. Be sure to check out last year's Easter Gift Guide, too, as well as my ideas for non-candy egg fillers.
Disclosure: Some items may have been sent to me as samples to review, but this did not influence my opinion of what to include in this guide. I was not otherwise compensated for writing this post. Believe me, I know how hard it is for the Easter Bunny to come up with new basket ideas every year. So I gathered some suggestions and sample baskets to help! Check out my photo guides and use the matching numbers to see which items are in each basket. I added a little blurb by each to tell you what I liked about the items, too.
Blossom Basket
1. Wild Republic Huggers - these are so sweet because their little arms are like old-school 'slap bracelets,' so you can wrap them around eggs, toys or even the basket handle. They come in a ton of different animals (including sloths and butterflies)!
2. Bananas are the latest collectible craze! You can peel each Banana to reveal a unique Crushie character inside. Every Banana comes with surprise accessories. One banana includes a collectible character, two cute mini friends, gem stones, collector's guide, character sticker, and hanging vine.
3. Pikmi Pops Doughmis are the latest in the Pikmi Pops line. Inside each Doughmi is an adorable donut plush character! They're scented and even come with mini accessories. There are three sizes (jumbo, plain and mini). The one pictured here comes with a jelly squishable in the center!
4. PEEPS Chalk Holder - Little Kids, Inc. make a number of fun items for Easter and Spring, but I always love their PEEPS chalk and PEEPS chalk holders. They look cute in any basket!
5. Drop Dots balls from Kess - I talked all about the awesome Drop Dots balls from Kess in my article over at The Toy Insider. Not only are they colorful and cool to look at, but they bounce high and are fun stress relievers, too. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes (including footballs and dice shapes). You can find them at your local Target store!
6. Doughmis Mini - just like the Doughmi mentioned above, but this one is a smaller size that fits in the palm of your hand. So sweet!
Background (behind basket) Scruff a Luvs Blossom Bunnies and Scruff a Luvs from Moose Toys - I pretty much love everything from Moose Toys, but these Scruff a Luvs are super cute. They come in an adorable box with a handle, and inside is literally a little ball of fur that you have to "bring to life" by wetting, brushing and fluffing up! The Blossom Bunny is a limited edition (and they are 'mystery colors' so you don't know which one you'll get- ours was blue). There are other colors and animals available, too.
Scruff a Luvs Blossom Bunnies (after "floofing!"). So soft and cuddly! |
Adventure Seekers Basket
1. Jelly Belly scented bubbles - if you are going to add bubbles to an Easter basket, these Jelly Belly scented bubbles from Little Kids, Inc. are totally the best!
2. Crayola Tie-Dyed Chalk - you can't go wrong with anything Crayola, in my personal opinion. Their tie-dyed chalk is so colorful and encourages outdoor play, too!
3. Silly Putty Bigg Egg - Silly Putty is still around and it's better than ever. You can pick up a giant Silly Putty Bigg Egg for an egg hunt or for a basket.
4. Kess Drop Dots Balls - same as featured above, these colorful, fun balls are a hit in my house already. You can find them at most Target stores and Target online.
5. Treasure X Dragons from Moose Toys - Treasure X is so much fun and even has a bit of a STEM element to it as kids try to unearth the character inside. The newest Treasure X sets have mini dragons in them and a chance to find real gold dipped treasure.
6. Squishmallows Clip-On Cam the Cat - Squishmallows clip-ons look so cute hanging from the top of an Easter basket. There are so many animals to choose from, but Cam has always been a favorite of mine.
7. Worlds Smallest Lite Brite- Worlds Smallest are actual working versions of their bigger counterparts. The Lite Brite set comes with mini pegs that you can actually use. There are other Worlds Smallest toys, too, including Lincoln Logs and mini arcade games.
8. Fortnite Battle Royale Collection - fans of Fortnite will appreciate the new toy sets, collectibles and figurines on the market. This set features Black Knight and Triple Threat. The figures are even small enough to fit inside eggs if you're looking for a different filler!
Cuddly Creativity Basket
1. Squishmallows have a huge following worldwide. Everyone loves them and certain animals in the series become hard to find after a while. They come in a variety of colors, animals, sizes and choices. Check out my post about Squishmallows and see what's new in their line this year!
2. Ryan's World Mystery Eggs from Bonkers Toys - Ryan's World is hugely popular on YouTube, and his toy line from Bonkers is sure to be popular with kids this year! This mini mystery egg is perfect for Easter, right? Inside there's a mystery figure, squishy or new Build-a-Ryan figure, exclusive putty, bouncy ball, stickers, and Ryan’s World tattoos.
3. Jelly Belly Scented Bubbles are from Little Kids, Inc. You can't have Easter without bubbles, that's just a fact. So why not get the cool scented ones? Even better!
4. Crayola Tie-Dyed Chalk - Crayola always amazes me with what they come up with every year. This tie-dyed chalk is pretty for Easter baskets and fun to use on driveways or sidewalks in the Spring and Summer.
5. Pikmi Pops Doughmis - mentioned above, Doughmis contain a plush donut collectible character (scented!), and they come in three different sizes.
6. My Fairy Garden Scented Garden Fairy - this sweet little fairy smells like Sweet Pea, and she even comes with a little hair clip. She's fun to play with on her own or you can add her to any existing My Fairy Garden set.
7. Crayola Stow and Go Mess Free Color Wonder Set - this is perfect for the little artist on the go and completely mess-free. All of the items come in a self contained travel case, which can serve as a lap desk, too!
Other Basket Ideas
Taste Beauty (NOT just for girls- there are cute items that boys would like, too), sells so many of my 80's-flashback dream items, from lip balms to bath bombs. You can find a lot of their stuff on Amazon, like these Taste Squad sets.
I am a huge fan of Re-marks and featured some of their items in my Easter Gift Guide last year (particularly their cube puzzles). This year they sent me some of their newest puzzles and they're beautiful- like this 'Greetings from the Desert' 500 piece puzzle, and the cute Space Cat puzzle for younger kids (200 large pieces). Re-marks products are made in the U.S.A., too! If you can't find the desert one on the market yet (you can find Re-marks in Barnes and Noble or Amazon), I also recommend their Periodic Table puzzle.
